At Quotely, we place great importance on protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.

1. Data collected

Quotely only collects data that is strictly necessary for the app to function:

Your favourite quotes saved locally on your device
Your notification preferences (chosen time and frequency)
The theme selected in the app
Anonymous usage data (number of opens, features used) to improve the experience

2. Data not collected

Quotely does not collect:

Your name, email address or phone number
Your geographic location
Your contacts or photos
Any data that could personally identify you

3. Data storage

Your data (favourite quotes, preferences) is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers or to third parties. If you delete the app, this data will be permanently erased.

4. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, we use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to send you your daily quote. This service does not allow us to personally identify you. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

5. Third-party services

Quotely may use limited third-party services:

Apple App Store — for app distribution and processing of any purchases
Anonymous analytics tools — to understand how the app is used in aggregate, without personal identification

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share any of your personal data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, modification or destruction.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

Right of access to your data
Right of rectification
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
Right to data portability
Right to object to processing

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly by modifying your preferences in the app or by uninstalling it.

9. Minors

Quotely does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 16. The app is accessible to all ages as it does not require any personal data.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. In the event of a significant change, a notification will be displayed in the app. The last updated date at the top of this page will also be modified.
